Galah is a pink-and-grey Australian cockatoo recorded in New Zealand as an introduced escapee or small naturalised population. A rose-pink face and breast contrast with pale-grey back and wings and a short whitish crest; no native parrot shares this pattern.

Records are scattered around settled lowland New Zealand rather than forming a broad continuous range. Galahs feed on grass seeds and grain on the ground and nest in tree hollows.

There is no dependable nationwide site; sightings usually involve known local escaped or naturalised birds.
